Days Gone - Sony’s first major zombie game in like, forever, has to be a good one, right? Well, that’s debatable, but the game has managed to build a loyal community of staunch supporters. Days Gone is an open-world title that is full of DayZ like zombies. The PlayStation exclusive is now playable on PC as well, and it’s certainly a good one. -

Dead Rising 2 - Capcom loves making post-apocalyptic games, which is why they’ve built an impressive portfolio spanning numerous franchises. And Dead Rising 2 is one of their best. Dead Rising 2 improves on the original title in nearly every way. The custom weapons, fast-paced story, and third-person gameplay are still worth it today. -

The Last of Us - Naughty Dog’s version of zombie apocalypse comes from the concept of cordyceps infection. This real-life backstory is enough to give TLOU a realistic tone that works. The first part of the series is still considered one of the best PS3 games ever, and it’s all because of the hard-hitting story. Though the LOU2 is more contested, few will disagree that it does a disservice to the genre. -

Zombie Army is a spin-off of the popular Sniper Elite series and provides similar gameplay, except it's the mid-1900s, and there are zombies all around.
